With 2025 fast approaching, I’ve put together a list of some of the books I’m most excited about. So let’s dive in and let me know what you are most looking forward to next year.
January

Liyen, heir to Tianxia, has grown up knowing she must serve the immortals who once protected her and her kingdom from a vicious enemy.
When she is poisoned, her grandfather steals an enchanted lotus to save her life. Enraged at his betrayal, the immortal queen commands the powerful God of War to attack Tianxia, leading to a journey filled with secrets and tenuous alliances, but darker forces are closing in..
Daughter of the Moon Goddess was one of my favourite 5 star reads in 2022. Although Immortal is set in the same world, it is a standalone and can be read on it’s own.

On a backstreet in Tokyo lies a pawnshop, but not everyone can find it.
Most will see only a cosy ramen restaurant. And just the chosen ones – those who are lost – will find a place to pawn their life choices and deepest regrets.
However, with the shop ransacked, a precious artifact stolen and a missing person leads our characters on a journey through a mystical world..

Book 5 of The Bone Season Series
Paige Mahoney continues her journey.. and that’s all I’m saying in case any readers haven’t had a chance to read the first 4 books. (No spoilers here folks!)

A new age of exploration and innovation has dawned, and the Empire of the Wolf stands to take its place as the foremost power in the known world. Glory and riches await.
But dark days are coming. A mysterious plague has broken out in the pagan kingdoms to the north, while in the south, the Empire’s proxy war in the lands of the wolfmen is weeks away from total collapse.
Worse still is the message brought to the Empress by two heretic monks, who claim to have lost contact with the spirits of the afterlife. The monks believe this is the start of an ancient prophecy heralding the end of days-the Great Silence.

The fate of an infinite library hangs on one book, a book that holds the power to break the unbreakable. In the face of such forces, fragile things like hearts, family, and the world seem certain to fail.
The people most vital to Livira are scattered across time and space, lost, divided into factions, in mortal peril. Somehow, she must bring them together and resolve the unresolvable argument that fuels the library’s war.
The final book in The Library series! Anyone else excited?
June

Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 1532.
London, 1837.
Boston, 2019.
Three young women, their bodies planted in the same soil, their stories tangling like roots.
One grows high, and one grows deep, and one grows wild.
And all of them grow teeth.
August

Katabasis, noun, Ancient Greek. The story of a hero’s descent to the underworld.
Two academic rivals from Cambridge must travel to hell to rescue the soul of their advisor. Getting there was easy. Surviving it – and each other – is another thing entirely.
September

To be confirmed.. (hopefully soon!)
November

Also to be confirmed however, this is the final book of the trilogy and words can’t describe how excited I am. A full years wait is going to be tricky business!
I have so many more on my list so there may be a part 2 coming your way.. how to get more hours in my day to read them all?
